Job summary

L-Acoustics is seeking an Application Engineer for APAC, ideally based in Southeast Asia with a preference for Malaysia. The role focuses on supporting clients through sound system design, verification, and on-site commissioning, with extensive field travel in the APAC region.

The candidate should have 8+ years in Pro Audio, strong English, and experience with Soundvision, EASE, SMAART, and AUTOCAD. Travel is 50–75% with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of work experience in the Pro Audio industry.
• In-depth knowledge of APAC Installation and Touring Pro Audio market.
• Bachelor/Master/Engineering Degree preferred.
• Experience with modeling (EASE) and measurement tools (SMAART) preferred.
• Practical PA system design and operation for touring/corporate touring.
• Autodesk AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with APAC consultants and engineers.
• Support market development through technical expertise for consultants and end users.
• Provide sound system theory, practice, and safe operation training.
• Design, specify, and document sound designs for Install and Touring.
• Perform system commissioning, measurement and verification.

Our APAC application team is looking for an Application Engineer based in South-East Asia preferably in Malaysia to provide operational support to our network of clients and end-users. To guarantee their projects' success at every stage through a premium customer experience. They provide sound system design support to venues, system engineers, audio consultants, and architects using our proprietary software: Soundvision. The Application Project team also provides on-site support to system and mixing engineers during festivals, tours, special events, musical, and more.

• Maintain and develop relationships with key APAC consultants and engineers.
• Market development through outstanding technical expertise for consultants, integrators, venue owners and end users.
• Provide Sound system theory, practice, safe operation training development and administration.
• Provide Sound system design, specification and documentation for Install and Touring applications
• Sound system commissioning, measurement and verification.
• Realize on-site acoustical and mechanical verification/measurement.
• Conduct training and product demonstration.
• Elaborate and conduct technical presentations.
• Support for Products, applications, safe operation and software
• Provide written technical mission reports
• Brand representation within the field of fixed Installation and Touring APAC Market

What you will need to be successful

The Application Engineer, APAC, must develop professional relationships with consultants, contractors and engineers and draw upon this experience in order to direct the appropriate advice and support. He possesses an expert knowledge of sound design modeling and measurement procedures.

• Minimum 8 years of work experience in Pro Audio industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the APAC Installation and Touring Pro Audio market.
• Bachelor/Master/Engineering Degree preferred
• Experienced in modeling (EASE) and common measurement tools (SMAART) preferred
• Practical PA system design and operation for touring and/or corporate touring market
• Experienced in AUTOCAD preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in English - Mandarine is a plus

Location and Travel:

Applicant must reside in South-East Asia, Preferably Malaysia and be authorized to work in these countries. Average expected travel is 50-75%
