Job summary

Singlife with Aviva is seeking an experienced Java developer to build Java-based and cloud-enabled solutions. You will define agile change processes, collaborate across teams and ensure scalable, high-performance implementations aligned with digital transformation.

Requirements include 6+ years of development experience with at least 4 years in cloud-based deployment, strong business analysis, and solid communication skills within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Java and webservices development.
• Exposure to Cloud infrastructure and related AWS Components like RDS, S3, KMS, AWS Secrets.
• 6+ years development experience with a minimum of 4 years on Cloud-based development and deployment of solutions.
• Solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset with strong communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Agile / Iterative delivery methodology.

Responsibilities

• Develop in Java and relevant Cloud components to create customized solutions; set best practices for integration and deployment.
• Define, communicate, and manage an agile-based change management process for new applications/code and updates to existing ones.
• Collaborate as a team to deliver engineering initiatives from new modules to improvements of existing features and workflows.
• Demonstrate strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating solutions, and deploying to end users.
• Ensure fast time to market, high performance and scalable implementations aligned to digital transformation goals.
• Build inter-team relationships to deliver multi-squad initiatives.
• Represent the Engineering target model architecture and provide best practice guidance to the implementation team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing in Java and relevant Cloud components to create customized solutions. Setting best practices including integration and application development, deployment, testing (unit and systems), and iterative refinement.
• Define, communicate, and manage an agile-based change management process to develop and implement new applications/code and updates to existing applications/code.
• Be a team player to deliver Engineering initiatives ranging from new modules, functionalities to improving existing features and workflows
• Strong business analysis and functional experience , including requirements gathering, creating solutions, and/or deploying solutions to end users.
• Ensuring fast time to market, high-performance and scalable implementation that realize the overall ambition of business/digital transformation program.
• Building inter-team relationships needed to deliver multi-squad initiatives.
• Responsible to represent the Engineering target model architecture and design, providing best practice guidance and patterns to the implementation team.

Requirements:
