Job summary

Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) is seeking a capable full-stack developer to design, build, and deploy digital learning solutions, including LMS integrations, web and cloud applications, and AI-powered features. You will work across the SDLC, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to secure, production-ready software.

The role emphasizes secure coding practices, DevOps, and emerging technology exploration (GenAI and intelligent automation) within a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of full-stack development experience.
• Proven experience delivering user-centric digital products.
• Experience across the full SDLC and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy digital solutions including LMS integrations and web/mobile apps.
• Build AI-powered applications and automation.
• Ensure secure, reliable, production-ready software with secure coding practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage vendor engagements.

What You Will Be Doing

• Software Development and Systems Integration
• Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of digital solutions, including: eLearning applications, LMS integrations, web applications, cloud solutions, and mobile applications.
• AI-powered applications, intelligent assistants, and automation solutions.
• System integrations via RESTful APIs, LTI standards, and cloud platforms.
• Quality, Security and DevOps
• Ensure that software solutions are secure, reliable, and production-ready.
• Apply secure coding practices, conduct code reviews, and support vulnerability assessments and security testing.
• Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and compliance with data governance policies.
• Emerging Technology and AI Innovation
• Research and implement emerging technologies to drive innovation.
• Explore GenAI, large language models, Agentic AI, and intelligent automation frameworks.
• Develop AI-driven learning experiences, virtual assistants, and recommendation engines.
• Conduct proof-of-concepts, technology evaluations, and EdTech trend monitoring.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Consultation
• Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver and sustain solutions.
• Gather requirements, support project delivery, and manage vendor engagements.
• Provide technical consultation, documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.
• Departmental Contributions
• Support cluster-level initiatives, events, and community-building activities that contribute to departmental well-being.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in full stack software development.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering user-centric digital products.
• Experience working across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems and APIs.
