Job summary

Luxoft Singapore is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering Group in Singapore. You will develop, maintain, and automate applications using Java, Python scripting, and REST/WebSocket APIs, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable software.

The role emphasizes strong problem solving, SDLC best practices, and real-time data exchange via WebSockets and SFTP, with emphasis on performance and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong experience in application development(not support focused).
• Hands-on experience with: Java, Unix, and Python scripting (preferred) and APIs - WebSocket, SFTP.
• Good programming knowledge of Python for application development and automation.
• Good understanding of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment and Shell scripting.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and application integration concepts.
• Understanding of WebSockets and real-time communication concepts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for writing queries and performing database operations.
• Familiarity with SFTP and file transfer processes.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of debugging, testing, and troubleshooting applications.
