Job summary

Apar Technologies Pte. Ltd. is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience to provide operational support for applications and drive reliability through automation and monitoring.

The role collaborates with application, infrastructure and production teams to troubleshoot issues, design CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure, efficient deployments. Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and ITIL practices is essential, with experience in ELK/ Prometheus stack and SQL databases

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps Engineering, Application Services or a similar technical operations role.
• Relevant industry certifications will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary operational and technical support for applications and assist functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Education & Experience

Technical Skills

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of database concepts and SQL scripting; experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Proficient in Git .
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot technologies.
• Basic to intermediate experience with ELK Stack .
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana .
• Good knowledge of Linux .
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and practices.
• Good understanding of asynchronous systems and message brokers such as Kafka .
• Understanding of IT production environments and deployment processes/pipelines.

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud operations, such as AWS or GCP .
• Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins or GitLab Runners .
• Experience working in the financial services industry or other regulated environments.
• Programming or scripting skills for automation.
