Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished Application Architect with a strong focus on SAP Basis to join our innovative Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping SAP landscape's architectural vision, ensuring seamless integration with cloud technologies, designing robust application architectures, and optimizing infrastructure sizing. Your excellent presentation and communication skills will be essential in conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role demands proficiency in both Azure, AWS and other cloud environments, along with a strong SAP Basis background spanning over a decade. As a certified expert in cloud technologies, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust SAP architectures that harness the power of public/private cloud solutions to drive our organization's success.

1. SAP Basis Architecture:

• Develop and maintain a forward-looking SAP Basis architecture strategy, closely aligning it with clients objectives and architecture.

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP Basis infrastructure, with a focus on public/private cloud deployments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security

• Responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP landscapes in hybrid and cloud environments.

• Stay current with SAP Basis best practices, industry trends, and evolving cloud technologies.

• Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to define SAP system requirements, ensuring they align with business needs.

• Have hands-on experience implementing complex Bluefield Migrations from SAP ECC to SAP S4HANA and work collaboratively with third party vendors like SNP and Syniti.

1. Cloud Integration:

• Drive the seamless integration of SAP systems with private cloud platforms integration with other enterprise applications, optimizing scalability, flexibility, and resource efficiency.

• Evaluate and select the most suitable private cloud-based solutions and services for SAP landscape.

• Devise effective migration strategies to transition SAP systems to private clouds, maintaining high availability and performance.

1. Infrastructure Sizing:

• Determine the optimal sizing of infrastructure components for SAP landscapes, considering current and future demands.

• Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams to ensure that hardware and resources are provisioned in line with the requirements of SAP systems.

• Monitor, adjust, and optimize infrastructure to accommodate growth and adapt to changing usage patterns effectively.

1. Application Architecture Design:

• Lead the architectural design of SAP applications, ensuring they are built to be robust, scalable, and secure.

• Define and enforce SAP technical architecture standards, procedures, and policies.

• Set and enforce architectural standards, collaborating with development teams to align application code with architectural best practices.

1. Certifications and Expertise:

• Hold certifications in SAP Basis administration, Azure, and AWS cloud platforms.

• Leverage your expertise to maintain the highest levels of security, compliance, and performance within our SAP environments.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 15 years of proven experience as an SAP Basis Architect, with a strong track record of architectural design and implementation.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis administration, SAP cloud integration architecture, SAP RISE private cloud solutions & SAP GROW public cloud solutions.

• Extensive expertise in private cloud platforms, SAP RISE particularly with Azure and AWS.

• Proven expertise with SAP BTP services (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Launchpad, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database architecture and administration.

• Experience with SAP Cloud Connector, Identity Authentication Service (IAS), and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS).

• Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and governance in cloud and hybrid SAP environments.

• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey complex technical concepts and guide decision-making.

• An ability to collaborate efficiently in cross-functional teams and lead architectural discussions.
