Job summary

Emerson Electric is seeking an Applications and Systems Engineer to design, implement, and deploy advanced semiconductor test solutions. You will collaborate with customers, sales teams, engineering colleagues, and partners to deliver reliable, scalable systems that meet business objectives.

You will combine systems engineering with hardware integration and project execution, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction across domestic and international deployments.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing, integrating, or supporting semiconductor test systems or automated test equipment.
• Knowledge of semiconductor testing and validation (RFIC/mixed-signal, on-wafer testing, ADC/DAC, MEMS, PMIC).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python.
• Familiarity with electronic test instruments like SMUs, DPA, digitizers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and partners to define and deploy semiconductor test solutions.
• Document customer requirements and contribute to project scopes and SLAs.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead project activities ensuring quality and performance.
• Install, configure, validate, and support test systems at customer sites.
• Evaluate hardware solutions including analog/digital interfaces and data communication.
• Provide technical guidance and training to customers and stakeholders.

In this Role, YourResponsibilities Will Be:

• Collaborate with customers, internal teams,and external partners to define, develop, and deploy semiconductor testsolutions that address specific business and technical requirements.
• Gather and document customer requirements andcontribute to the development of clear project scopes and statements of work.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead project activities,ensuring deliverables meet quality, performance, and customer expectations.
• Install, configure, validate, and support testsystems at customer locations, including performing final acceptance testing.
• Evaluate, integrate, and validate hardwaresolutions, including analog and digital circuit, signal interconnects, and datacommunication protocols based on device-under-test requirements.
• Support the design and integration of modulartest hardware into complete turnkey test systems.
• Assess system performance, reliability,measurement accuracy, and overall cost effectiveness to optimize customeroutcomes.
• Familiar in utilizing laboratory measurementequipment, including oscilloscopes and other laboratory measurementinstruments.
• Partner with customers and manufacturingstakeholders to improve test system stability, reliability, and operationalefficiency.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, andtraining to customers and project stakeholders on system operation and bestpractices.
• Respond effectively to technical challengesduring project implementation and support activities.
• Travel domestically and internationally, asneeded, to support customer engagements, project deployments, and businessobjectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Degree, diploma, technical qualification, orequivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience developing, integrating,supporting, or designing semiconductor test systems, automated test equipment,or related engineering solutions.
• Knowledge of semiconductor testing andvalidation (e.g. RFIC or mixed-signal IC testing and validation, RF FEM,On-wafer testing, ADC/DAC, LED, MEMS sensors, PMIC etc.).
• Experience with software or systemdevelopment, including test case development, and test platform software(SmarTest, IG-XL, etc).
• Proficiency in programming languages such asC++, Java, Visual Basic, Python, etc.
• Knowledge of industry-standard electronic testinstruments such as source measurement units, digital pattern instrument,digitizer, etc.
• Understanding of:
  • Measurement accuracy and sources of error
  • Instrumentation selection and testarchitecture design
  • Hardware and software integration
  • Grounding and shielding concepts
  • PCB design tools and schematic development
  • Statistical analysis techniques, includingprocess capability and measurement system analysis
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, evaluatealternatives, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skillsin English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities whileworking independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Willingness and ability to travelapproximately 20% of the time to support customer and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications thatSet You Apart:

• Experience supporting semiconductormanufacturing, production test, validation engineering, or automated testenvironments.
• Familiarity with major semiconductor ATEplatforms such as V93000, UltraFLEX, J750, Pax, or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of NI PXI platforms, NI LabVIEW,TestStand, or related test software environments.
• Knowledge of semiconductor ecosystem equipmentsuch as handlers, probers, and wafer-level test systems.
• Experience leading technical projects fromconcept through deployment.
• Understanding of system-level architecture,hardware integration, and reliability optimization.
• Demonstrated success working incustomer-facing technical roles within a global environment.
