Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Analyst Programmer to join the Capital Markets IT team. This hybrid role combines technical application support, problem management, and automated solution development to improve support operations and maintain stability.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Must have 6+ years of application support experience, ideally within banking or capital markets;
- Strong in SQL, with solid experience in Unix/Linux scripting and automation;
- Must have proficiency with Python and PowerShell for scripting and support tooling;
- ITIL-certified, with hands-on experience in Incident, Problem, and Change Management;
- Exposure to regulatory reporting standards such as MAS, EMIR, HKMA, CFTC, MiFID;
- Familiar with Control-M and other job scheduling/workflow tools;
- Experience with messaging/integration tools such as Kafka, MQ, and CFT;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident management skills;
- Capable of managing SLAs, KPIs, and performing predictive analysis and escalations.
Desired Skill-set
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes and Docker for container-based deployments;
- Exposure to any cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, GCP;
- Basic familiarity with NoSQL databases;
- Experience integrating with market data sources like Bloomberg and Reuters;
- Working knowledge of XML and PL/SQL for data integration and reporting;
- Ability to contribute to automated support tooling and non-functional monitoring requirements;
- Experience supporting overnight batch jobs and monthly reporting chains;
- Appetite for continuous improvement, automation, and support tooling development;
- Prior experience with Capital Market regulatory systems or frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement application monitoring in collaboration with development teams;
- Monitor production chains (daily/monthly) and respond to issues proactively;
- Provide Level 1 and 2 support to a variety of capital market users;
- Handle and follow up on incidents, user requests, and batch job failures;
- Write and maintain automation scripts and support tools to improve efficiency;
- Document knowledge, processes, and troubleshooting steps in internal knowledge bases;
- Collaborate with build teams to propose and test long-term solutions to recurring problems;
- Contribute to post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and problem management;
- Track and report on SLA/KPI metrics, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders;
- Provide input to DevOps teams for monitoring-as-code and infrastructure improvements;
- Participate in major events, including regulatory deadlines, DR/BCP, and system migrations.
