Job summary

ANTAS PTE. LTD. seeks a Software Testing Engineer to ensure quality and validation of banking applications and enterprise financial systems. You will test Avaloq core banking functionality, validate API integrations and database transactions, and drive automated and manual test suites throughout the software lifecycle.

You will review specifications, develop test plans, execute varied testing types, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline.
• Experience in software testing or quality assurance, preferably in banking/finance.
• Hands-on testing with Avaloq core banking systems.
• Strong knowledge of functional, SIT, UAT and regression testing.
• Experience with REST API testing and JSON payload analysis.
• Proficient in SQL for database verification and data reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Python scripting and automation frameworks like Playwright.
• Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira or similar test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and requirements to define test conditions, coverage, and criteria.
• Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and cases for banking applications and enterprise systems.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and UAT testing across workflows.
• Validate transactions, data integrity, rules, and system interfaces across layers.
• Execute REST API tests including payloads, status codes, auth, and errors.
• Perform SQL-based verification of transactions and backend data.
• Develop and maintain automated regression scripts using Python and Playwright.
• Manage test cycles and artifacts in Azure DevOps/Jira.
• Record defects, re-test, and participate in triage and release activities.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to identify root causes.
