Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer specializing in API testing and automation. The role requires hands-on testing of REST and SOAP services within microservices architectures and event-driven integrations.

The candidate should have strong Java skills (Python preferred), build reusable automation frameworks, and drive CI/CD integrations with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps, while mentoring automation teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering.
• Strong API testing and automation experience using Rest Assured, Postman/Newman, Karate Framework, and ReadyAPI/SoapUI.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, SOAP services, microservices architecture, and event-driven integrations.
• Strong programming skills in Java, with Python preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing reusable API automation frameworks.
• Expertise in CI/CD integration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Strong SQL knowledge and backend data validation experience.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models, test planning, test strategy, test execution, defect management, and release sign-off.
• Experience with API mocking, service virtualization, and test data management.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, shift-left testing, and quality engineering practices.
• Experience managing and mentoring automation teams.

Responsibilities
