Job summary

Tangspac Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced streaming data engineer to design, develop, and maintain real-time data processing solutions using Apache Flink. The role focuses on building scalable, reliable streaming applications for high-throughput workloads and stateful processing.

Candidates should have 8+ years IT experience, at least 2 years hands-on Flink, and strong Java/Scala skills. Familiarity with Agile/DevOps, Kafka, and Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with software/data engineering.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Apache Flink in real-time streaming environments.
• Strong understanding of stream processing concepts and distributed systems.
• Experience with Java or Scala and solid programming fundamentals.
• Agile/DevOps experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time streaming solutions using Apache Flink.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time data processing and streaming solutions using Apache Flink.
• Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance stream processing applications for real-time data workloads.
• Develop and optimize Flink jobs, pipelines, transformations, and stateful processing.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, latency, and reliability issues in real-time streaming applications.
• Collaborate with engineering and application teams to understand requirements and deliver robust streaming solutions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and operational best practices for Flink applications.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with strong software/data engineering background.
• Atleast 2 years of hands-on experience with Apache Flink, particularly in real-time/stream processing environments.
• Strong understanding of stream processing concepts, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Java or Scala and good programming fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka-based event streaming.
• Experience with Kubernetes and deploying/managing streaming applications in containerized environments.
