Job description

A global personal care brand is looking for an APAC Trade & Retail Marketing Specialist / Senior Specialist. Operating from the Singapore regional office, this role partners closely with country franchisees/distributors to shape in-market trade strategy and drive channel execution across retail and eCommerce.

Sitting within the brand’s regional marketing team, the role serves as a commercial anchor between global priorities and local retail realities - guiding external partners to execute with consistency, relevance, and performance accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive localisation of product strategy tailored to each distributor market
  • Influence distributor marketing execution — ensure alignment on promotional plans, campaign calendars, and shopper-facing activity
  • Co-develop omnichannel retail campaigns, adapting regional toolkits for market-level execution (across instore retail and digital business)
  • Shape pricing architecture and margin discipline through competitor benchmarking and internal data analysis
  • Monitor campaign performance via dashboards and reports; provide recommendations to optimise ROI, sell-through, and mix contribution
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, IT, finance, and global brand teams to ensure trade plans are commercially coherent and executable

Key Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in trade marketing, category, or retail execution within the beauty, personal care, or FMCG sectors
  • Has operated brand-side with accountability for guiding franchisees/distributors on marketing implementation (e.g. Luxasia, DKSH, Aura, MAP, CMG)
  • Familiar with multichannel environments (modern trade, retail, eCommerce) and regional market complexity (SEA/North Asia)
  • Demonstrates analytical rigour, commercial fluency, and experience influencing without direct reporting lines
  • Holds tenure in previous roles with clear contributions to in-market execution outcomes
