Job summary

AIG Asia Pacific invites you to join us as a Trade Credit New Business Underwriter, shaping risk solutions for the region including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia. You will underwrite renewals and new business, analyze financial statements, and collaborate with brokers to grow a profitable portfolio.

You will be expected to travel as needed, build strong client relationships, and contribute to training and reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in financial/credit analysis and interpretation of financial statements.
• Ability to understand financial statements and other business information in English and another regional language.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the trade credit space or related banking/finance.
• Experience in account management, dealing with senior stakeholders (CFOs, Credit Controllers, Risk Managers).
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with ability to generate new business pipeline.
• Ability to identify opportunities in client relationships through tailored solutions.
• Independent, able to multi-task and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Service and expand Trade Credit Asia Pacific’s line of business including underwriting renewal and new business submissions across the region.
• Own assigned accounts with underwriting excellence, adhering to procedures and audits.
• Review manuscript wording and conduct strong financial analysis for policy expansions.
• Focus on new business while managing renewals and negotiating terms for profitability.
• Engage with brokers, partner markets, and clients to set high underwriting and service standards.
• Develop understanding of AIG capabilities to provide tailored solutions.
• Support the team through training, collaboration, and inclusive practices.
• Assist regional leadership with timely and accurate reporting.
