APAC Tax Manager (Data Centre/Infrastructure)

The Company

A globally recognized data centre, infrastructure and connectivity MNC is seeking an APAC Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance across the region.

The Role

Reporting to the APAC Head of Tax, you will work independently while collaborating closely with the accounting, finance, and business teams to ensure tax compliance, and liaise with external tax advisors.

1. Provide real-time local income tax support across acquisitions, operations, corporate finance, leasing, and accounting teams.
2. Coordinate with local tax advisors to manage tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely tax return filings.
3. Liaise with tax authorities on notices, elections, and assessments.
4. Oversee tax/legal structures and entity maintenance, ensuring alignment with financial records and capital structures.
5. Lead value-added projects to optimize cash flow and minimize tax exposure.
6. Provide insights on local tax matters and support US GAAP tax provision calculations for corporate reporting.
7. Provide support on US REIT compliance and respond to due diligence requests.
8. Assist in documenting transfer pricing policies, internal controls, and tax positions for the APAC region.

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience:

1. Minimum 7 years of corporate tax experience, preferably with prior Big 4 experience.
2. Knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting is highly preferred.
3. Prior experience in an MNC environment, with the ability to work independently and be hands-on.
4. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to navigate complex tax regulations.
