Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking a senior engineering leader to oversee a portfolio of corporate real estate and colocation data centres across the Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore. The role ensures technical and contractual quality, regulatory compliance, and sustainable operations.

You will guide day-to-day operations, project identification, and capacity management while partnering with IT services and stakeholders to meet SLA commitments and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a highly related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering management experience, including data centre environments.
• Senior leadership experience in a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of data centre building services design and engineering management.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical and strategic engineering leadership for owned and leased corporate real estate buildings and colocation data centres.
• Oversee major works in APAC, including power down planning, execution, and refurbishment project management.
• Review maintenance and service practices of M&E contractors to ensure alignment with manufacturer recommendations and standards.
• Apply regulatory compliance management and manage capacity/utilization for office tenancies, server rooms, and data centres.
• Provide incident management support, including 24/7 on-call escalation and root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement utility, CO2, and cost-saving initiatives to improve sustainability.
• Govern as-built drawings, OEM information, and SOPs/EOPs for APAC.
• Manage colocation data centre performance, annual due diligence inspections, monthly reviews, and regulatory audits.
• Collaborate with IT services and client stakeholders to align load forecasts with data centre capacity and SLA compliance.

This position is responsible for the tactical and strategic engineering leadership of a portfolio of corporate real estate and colocation data centres across the Asia Pacific region. Located in Singapore, this leadership role ensures technical and contractual quality assurance on behalf of our client, confirming that all properties comply with country, regional, global, and technical standards. What your day-to-day will look like

• Provide tactical and strategic engineering leadership for a portfolio of owned and leased corporate real estate buildings and colocation data centres.

• Partner closely with IT services and client stakeholders to align load forecasts with data centre capacity and ensure SLA compliance.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a highly related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering management experience, including dedicated experience within data centre environments.
• Proven track record of operating successfully within a senior leadership role.
• Thorough understanding of data centre building services design and engineering management.
• Strong technical capability to identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency and sustainability improvements.
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Prior experience managing multi-site colocation data centre portfolios and overseeing third-party SLA compliance.
• Experience implementing comprehensive Sustainability Management Plans, including carbon reduction and waste-tracking programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical training delivery and standardize engineering practices across diverse regional teams.
