Job summary

HSBC Asset Management is seeking an Investment Director for Asia-Pacific Private Credit within International Wealth and Premier Banking. The role will lead origination, diligence and screening of private credit opportunities across Asia-Pacific for the Fund, including corporate-, family- and sponsor-backed transactions.

You will conduct credit assessments via financial modelling, downside and recovery analysis, sector and country research, and ESG and structural risk assessments, while coaching

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in private credit, leveraged finance or structured finance.
• Proven mid-market lending track record with corporates, family businesses or financial sponsors.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of APAC markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination and screening of private credit opportunities across Asia-Pacific.
• Structure and negotiate transactions with tailored covenants and security packages.
• Draft investment memoranda for Investment Committee presentations.
• Build relationships with HSBC Asset Management, HSBC Bank, investors and borrowers.
• Coach junior team members to share best practices and develop technical skills.
