Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software is used in the development of Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many objects in our daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a large team of Portfolio Development Managers across multiple countries or industries to deliver high-quality portfolio development activities supporting sales and business goals.
• Contribute to sales pipeline strategy in partnership with country executives and management, understanding the contribution requirements of portfolio development.
• Oversee planning and delivery of portfolio expansion and growth aligned with DI SW Zone objectives.
• Manage business operations for portfolio management, including budget control, business planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Establish clear market positions for portfolio domains, understanding customer problems and business value to craft compelling sales messages and campaigns tailored to industry, country, or region.
• Handle personnel decisions such as recruitment, training, development, and performance management in line with regulations.
• Participate in country, vertical, and regional meetings, contributing to planning and reporting activities.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to Portfolio Development Executives and Managers, advocating for the value of portfolio development within the business.
• Contribute to zone and global initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. Deputise for the Senior Portfolio Director if needed.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in engineering or economics.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the simulation or engineering technology industry, preferably in Aerospace, Defence, Marine, or Start-ups in these segments.
• Strong understanding of simulation tools and technologies such as Siemens Simcenter, Ansys, Altair, and Hexagon.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client engagement and industry events.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
