Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software is used in the conception and manufacturing of various objects such as Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, and space exploration vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a large team of Portfolio Development Managers within a regional management structure, overseeing multiple countries or industries to deliver high-quality portfolio development activities that support software sales and meet business goals.
• Partner with country executives and management to contribute to sales pipeline strategies, understanding the requirements for portfolio development contributions.
• Oversee planning and execution of portfolio expansion and growth aligned with DI SW Zone objectives.
• Manage business operations for portfolio management, including budget control, business planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Establish clear market positions for portfolio domains, understanding customer problems and the business value delivered to craft compelling sales messages and targeted campaign strategies across countries and industries.
• Handle personnel decisions such as recruitment, training, development, and performance management in line with regulations.
• Participate in country, vertical, and regional meetings, contributing to planning and reporting activities.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to Portfolio Development Executives and Managers, advocating for the value of portfolio development within the business.
• Contribute to zone and global initiatives aligned with strategic priorities, and deputize for the Senior Portfolio Director when required.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in engineering or economics.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the simulation or engineering technology industry, preferably in Aerospace, Defence, Marine sectors, or startups in these segments.
• Strong understanding of simulation tools and technologies such as Siemens Simcenter, Ansys, Altair, and Hexagon.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client engagement and industry events.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
