Job summary

Zuellig Pharma in Singapore seeks a Packaging Optimization Lead to own packaging formats and technologies across APAC. You will standardize packaging, drive automation, and optimize DC space while reducing costs and improving sustainability.

The role requires 8+ years in packaging or logistics engineering, multi-market APAC experience, and strong vendor/ROI capabilities to support procurement governance and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in packaging engineering, logistics engineering, or related field.
• Experience deploying packaging automation and carton right-sizing, auto-erect, or labelling.
• Hands-on knowledge of packaging materials and formats (corrugate, void fill, tapes, seals).
• Experience developing specifications and evaluating vendors, building capex/ROI cases.
• Multi-market APAC experience in matrixed organisations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to produce clear specifications and board-ready cases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Group Packaging Standards Framework adopted across markets.
• Define packaging specifications and drive carton-range rationalization to reduce active size.
• Lead evaluation of automated packaging solutions at priority DCs and drive cost reductions.
• Quantify packaging storage footprint and reclaim DC space; collaborate on JIT and VMI.
• Drive DIM-weight optimization for outbound freight and cost reductions.
• Build capex business cases and support supplier agreements to reduce units cost.
