Job summary

Moody's Corporation is seeking a senior economist to forecast macroeconomic developments for two APAC countries and to lead research projects. You will engage with clients, write insightful reports, and present analyses to diverse audiences.

The role requires strong writing, communication, and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior staff and leveraging AI to improve workflows and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of macroeconomic theory and data interpretation.
• Experience in macroeconomic analysis, econometric modelling, and statistical analysis preferred.
• Clear writing and ability to explain complex economics in plain language.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
• English fluency; an additional Asia-Pacific language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and analyze macroeconomic developments for two Asia-Pacific countries.
• Become a subject matter expert on a macro topic and lead original research.
• Present macroeconomic outlooks to clients and stakeholders.
• Write reports and commentaries on country outlooks; respond to client questions.
• Develop the regional outlook and coordinate with team members.
• Lead client-facing presentations, webinars, and external communications.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance processes and capabilities.
