Job summary

Wise Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Government Relations Manager to advance policy and regulatory objectives across Southeast Asia.

You will represent Wise with gravitas, engaging policymakers, regulators and industry groups to promote direct access to payment systems and transparent pricing. You will lead external advocacy, collaborate with the APAC leadership and legal/compliance teams, and travel frequently to regional markets to build networks and influence

Qualifications

• Self-starter capable of working independently and delivering plans.
• Proactively advocate for Wise with government stakeholders.
• Ability to constructively challenge authorities with evidence.
• Minimum of 7 years in government, politics or public policy.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; another language preferred.
• Experience in at least one Southeast Asian market with established networks.
• Proficiency in financial services, payments or consumer protection policy is a plus.
• Persuasive communicator for internal and public use.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for Wise’s interests with policymakers and regulators.
• Engage with government stakeholders across Southeast Asia.
• Represent the company with gravitas in external meetings and public forums.
• Coordinate with APAC leadership, product, compliance and legal teams.
