Job summary

Citi is seeking a seasoned senior leader to head the FX and Commodities Middle Office across APAC and Japan, overseeing a 19‑person team across Singapore, India, Korea and Japan.

You will partner with regional leads and global product heads to drive operational excellence, support growth, and strengthen risk and control across the trade life cycle.

This high‑impact leadership role places you at the center of Citi's APAC FX and Commodities business, with hybrid work and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial services operations focusing on FX, Commodities, or related markets in APAC/Japan.
• Demonstrated people management experience with geographically distributed teams.
• Able to handle multiple priorities in a high‑risk environment without compromising quality.
• Clear, confident English communication with senior leadership and clients.
• Strong project management with a track record of operational change.

Responsibilities

• Lead Middle Office teams across Singapore, India, Korea, and Japan, ensuring delivery aligns with global operating model.
• Manage resource planning, budget oversight, and policy development within FX and Commodities.
• Oversee end-to-end trade lifecycle from front to back, as SME for stakeholders and clients.
• Coordinate to resolve complex trade issues with durable process improvements.
• Drive productivity via automation/AI to reduce manual processes and cut costs.
• Monitor industry trends and translate into cost-saving operational enhancements.
• Oversee risk and control environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and transparent issue handling.
• Coach line managers and team members across locations to maintain high standards.
