Job summary

Mimecast Limited in London is seeking a Director-level Field CISO to lead security advisory across APAC. You will act as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CTOs and boards at strategic accounts, translating security strategy into measurable business outcomes.

Based in London with regional flexibility, you will drive insider risk guidance, AI governance and enterprise risk frameworks, partnering with sales to accelerate land-and-expand initiatives while shaping Mimecast’s human risk narrative.

Qualifications

• Depth of experience in enterprise information security with 10+ years in a leadership role including 3+ years as a CISO or equivalent.
• Lived operational experience is non-negotiable.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Advanced certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CISM, GIAC or equivalent.
• Proven ability to engage and influence C‑suite and board audiences with credibility and humility.
• Prior exposure to multiple APAC sub-regions with cross-cultural fluency.
• Comfortable operating as a Director-level individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CTOs, and board-level stakeholders at top strategic accounts across APAC.
• Guide customers through insider risk strategy, Incydr deployment, AI agent risk, and enterprise risk frameworks.
• Support customers through audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance programmes.
• Be the first call when a customer has a security problem and run toward the problem.
• Represent Mimecast at major APAC security conferences and advance the human risk narrative.
