Job description

An international FMCG packaged food and beverage company is looking for an APAC Commercial Sales Director to join its regional hub in Singapore.

The position will drive the Company's commercial expansion across Asia markets through strategic channel development, retail partnerships, and team leadership. He/She will also build a scalable, regionally aligned GTM model to unlock growth across modern trade, convenience, and emerging channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Entry & Prioritisation
  • Identify, size, and prioritize target Asian markets
  • Recommend country-level entry models (distributor vs direct)
Route-to-Market Strategy
  • Build RTM architecture across modern trade, convenience, and e-commerce
  • Secure partnerships with leading retailers and distributors
P&L Ownership & Commercial Execution
  • Lead commercial planning and pricing strategy
  • Own top-line delivery and margin optimization
Regional Team Leadership
  • Recruit and manage a high-performing regional sales team
  • Set performance metrics, coach talent, drive accountability
Cross-functional Alignment
  • Partner with marketing, supply chain, and product to localize execution.
  • Serve as Asia voice in global strategic discussions

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 12-15+ years in FMCG commercial roles, must be experienced in packaged food/beverage categories
  • Exposure: Pan-Asia sales leadership, with modern trade focus
  • Entrepreneurial DNA: Experience in startups, new market builds, or fast-scaling brands
  • Leadership: Proven team builder with regional management experience
  • Location: Based in Singapore; open to regional travel
  • Mindset: Commercially sharp, execution-focused, and culturally agile
