Job description

Position Summary

This is a remote role out of South East Asia (SEA).

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Supply Chain for the APAC region and is responsible for the strategic management of our regional Machined Components and Stamping FG category. This includes machined components, chain, bearing, casting, and stamping, as well as finished goods made from these components. The role provides regional category leadership, aligning with segment and global category teams, and collaborating closely with segment and divisional product leaders, operations, and other key stakeholders to deploy strategies that drive value and sustainability in our supply chain. The role works closely with regional supply chain teams, operations, plant, and corporate leaders to develop strategic plans and objectives that enhance overall performance across Regal Rexnord.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a category strategy for Machined and Stamping FG, including strategic sourcing partnerships, negotiations, and strategy execution.
• Lead supplier management strategies, including supplier development, supply base consolidation, cost reduction initiatives, and supplier segmentation plans.
• Collaborate with business segments to influence the category strategy, including design criteria and sourcing requirements.
• Ensure alignment in the value chain between suppliers and end customers regarding form, fit, function, price, and delivery.
• Support divisions within the global supply chain function strategically.
• Monitor and report on key cost drivers, market trends, and forecasts.
• Develop countermeasures to address negative performance and market trends.
• Understand the total cost of the category, including tooling and component costs, as part of the strategy.
• Partner with operational purchasing teams to improve processes continuously.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
• Report on KPIs and present strategic sourcing activities and successes to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Operations Management; Master’s Degree or MBA is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of industrial components supply base, market dynamics, and cost management strategies.
• Experience with global direct material sourcing and multi-tier supplier management.
• Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving approach.
• Ability to develop partnerships with senior executives and influence change.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience in a decentralized organization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present convincingly to senior levels.

Travel: Approximately 50%, mainly to China and SEA.

Language: English required; Mandarin is a plus.
