Job description

What this job involves:

  • Work closely with the Capital Markets business focusing on Alternatives investments research. Build and expand our Alternatives datasets that underpin the insights and advice we provide clients.

  • Undertake deep qualitative and quantitative market research to help develop house views with regard to Living in its various formats (multifamily, BTR, student housing, aged care, co-living), Life Sciences, Infrastructure and Renewables, and other new economy sectors.

  • Successfully complete end-to-end research advisory work from discovery and project scope, to proposing a strategic approach and solution design, to advanced data collection and analysis for meaningful insight generation.

  • Contextualize findings within the client’s parameters, deliver evidence-based information aligned with client objectives, and insights through engaging storytelling and effective data presentation

  • Leverage various platforms to transform complex data into clear, compelling visual narratives.

  • Create reports and executive summaries that highlight key findings and strategic implications

  • Craft persuasive presentations be it written, slide decks, or intuitive dashboards.

  • Establish metrics to measure impact and conduct post-engagement reviews to ensure value delivery

  • Offer ongoing support and refinement of strategies as needed for research projects

  • Support the wider capital markets business with deal related ad hoc requests

  • Align with global sector leads and keep abreast with other region’s coverage

  • Occasionally support global research advisory work and input into quarterly publications as needed.

  • Identify new trends, investment ideas and capital allocation strategies

  • Produce thought-leadership content and staying connected with country team researchers

  • Supervise analysts on maintaining transaction databases, updating internal datasets that feed into global workstreams

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in capital markets, consulting, data science, investment analysis

  • Strong knowledge of alternative asset classes and new economy sectors

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills

  • Utilize statistical modelling and data mining to uncover patterns and trends

  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling and the ability to manage large datasets

  • Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact consulting projects

  • Experience in client relationship management and project leadership

  • Knowledge of SQL and/or business intelligence platforms like Tableau/Power BI preferable

  • Strong presentation and report writing skills with the ability to produce concise, compelling and informative stories around investment trends
