Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for APAC, based in Singapore, to support the Asia Pacific business with pragmatic legal advice and cross-border governance. The role reports to the Head of Legal, APAC, and collaborates with Singapore and Melbourne colleagues.

You will lead negotiations, advise on regulatory and commercial matters, and help drive AI governance and data privacy initiatives within a dynamic professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 12–15 years’ experience in a leading law firm and/or in-house team.
• Experience negotiating and advising on commercial arrangements with clients including government bodies and financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting multinational businesses, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain understanding of FTI’s service offerings and business priorities.
• Provide commercially focused legal support enabling growth, risk management and strategic objectives.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of client and vendor agreements; advise on regulatory and cross-border matters.
• Support AI-enabled services adoption, including contractual risk management and compliance.
• Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, and information governance matters; ensure compliance with laws and client contracts.
• Oversee disputes and regulatory matters; manage external counsel as needed.
• Assist HR and leaders on employment-related matters and contractor arrangements.
• Improve templates, processes, governance, and risk management across APAC.
