Job summary

Capgemini in Singapore is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in native Android development and a passion for delivering seamless user experiences in an Agile environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features, ensure performance and quality, and continuously adopt new technologies to enhance development efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Android development experience in native apps.
• Proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) and Java.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack components.
• Familiarity with MVVM/MVP architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Version control with Git; knowledge of CI/CD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Android applications.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, and Backend teams to ship features.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of apps.
• Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews.
• Integrate APIs and third‑party libraries; identify bottlenecks.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in native Android development, clean coding practices, and a passion for delivering seamless user experiences in a fast-paced, Agile environment

Key Responsibility

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Android applications using Kotlin/Java
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX/UI, Backend) to define and ship new features
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and improve application quality
• Integrate APIs and third-party libraries/services
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency

Key Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Android application development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) and/or Java
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern development tools
• Solid understanding of MVVM/MVP architecture patterns
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room, etc.)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and mobile DevOps practices is a plus
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and Material Design guidelines
