Job summary

GMP Recruitment Services (S) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Android developer to build and maintain production-grade mobile applications using Kotlin/Java. The role focuses on integrating AI features through APIs, ensuring robust async flows, and optimizing performance to deliver responsive user experiences.

You will implement AI interaction patterns, monitor app health, and collaborate with backend teams to support scalable, reliable mobile solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Android development experience with Kotlin/Java and published production apps on Google Play.
• Experience integrating AI/ML technologies, including LLM, vision, speech APIs, MLKit, or TensorFlow Lite.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming with Coroutines and Flow.
• Experience with REST/gRPC APIs, structured data formats, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience in debugging, performance profiling, and developing applications resilient to latency and partial failures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production Android applications using Kotlin/Java.
• Integrate AI-powered features such as LLM chat, vision, voice, and recommendations through APIs.
• Implement reliable AI interaction flows, including streaming, retries, partial results, and error handling.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, CPU efficiency, and responsiveness.
• Implement monitoring, analytics, logging, and feedback mechanisms to identify and resolve production issues.
