Job summary

Grasshopper is a Singapore-based quantitative trading technology provider seeking an Analytics Engineer to own data pipelines and collaborate with traders, risk managers and financial controllers. You will work with a platform built on Prefect, dbt, BigQuery, and Looker, helping turn business questions into trusted data products.

Ideal candidates have hands-on engineering skills, strong SQL and Python, and experience with orchestration tools and dbt.

Qualifications

Several years building and owning data pipelines in production.
Comfortable working directly with non-technical teams — asking questions, sitting through their process, and turning a vague ask into something concrete.
Strong SQL and Python — the kind of code other people can maintain.
Hands‑on experience with an orchestration tool and dbt or equivalent.
Care about correctness — testing thoroughly, and catching problems before they reach production.
An eye for user experience — a correct dashboard nobody can read is not finished.

Responsibilities

Build and own data pipelines in production for traders and risk teams.
Collaborate with traders, risk managers and financial controllers to translate requests into robust data products.
Help shape a platform where analysts can query data and trust the answers, including AI-assisted components.
