Job summary

Hummingbird Bioscience Pte. Ltd. invites motivated undergraduates to join as an intern supporting Analytical Sciences and Mass Spectrometry.

You'll gain hands-on exposure to sample preparation and assay runs, learning how analytical techniques contribute to antibody drug development. The role includes working across teams, participating in meetings, and potentially collaborating with other departments on project tasks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Program in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
• Knowledge in protein structure and biochemistry.
• Basic laboratory experience.
• Willingness to pick-up basic hands-on laboratory skills.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.

Responsibilities

• Running of a variety of analytical methods on a day-to-day basis including but not limited to HPLC methods, Capillary electrophoresis, potency, impurity and protein concentration assays.
• Assist in laboratory work using a wide range of chromatography and LC-MS techniques for characterization of antibodies and other therapeutic recombinant proteins
• Supporting the analytical sciences and mass spectrometry teams in ad-hoc routine tasks including but not limited to buffer preparation, sample receipt, label printing etc
• Maintenance and housekeeping of the laboratories
• Timely and legible data recording expected
