Job summary

Ugene Laboratory Services Pte Ltd is seeking a laboratory analyst to perform chemical testing across food, dietary supplement, and consumer product samples. You will follow approved methods, prepare reagents, and operate instruments like HPLC, GC/GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and ICP-MS/OES to deliver accurate data.

You will ensure data integrity, support method verification, QA/QC, audits, and CAPA while maintaining safety and compliance in a busy lab environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 0-2 years of laboratory experience; fresh graduates with relevant instrument experience are welcome.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC/GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS/OES or similar instruments is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and laboratory QC; SAC-SINGLAS exposure is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, good documentation habits and the ability to work in a team.
• Food, dietary supplement or consumer product testing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical analysis on food, dietary supplement and consumer product samples.
• Prepare samples, standards and reagents following approved methods and SOPs.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain analytical instruments (HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC/GC-MS, ICP-MS/OES, etc.).
• Record, review and report test data accurately; ensure data integrity and traceability.
• Support method verification, validation and troubleshooting.
• Carry out QC checks, proficiency testing and equipment checks.
• Support audits, non-conformity investigations and CAPA.
• Follow laboratory safety, waste handling and housekeeping requirements.
• Coordinate with the Supervisor and customer service teams on sample status and turnaround time.
