We manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and aim to delight our business partners through various banking delivery channels.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Derivatives Operations Specialist to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise in equity derivatives operations while exploring Generative AI to streamline processes. You will ensure accurate transaction processing and contribute to AI-driven solutions development.

AI-Driven Automation:

Collaborate with developers to design, develop, and implement scalable automation systems, including exploring Generative AI to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance: Understand and ensure adherence to US IRS 871m regulations.
• Product Knowledge: Build expertise in various equity products, including cash equities, options, and share lending/borrowing.
• Collaboration and Business Understanding: Work with Treasury, Markets, and Tax teams to incorporate business needs into operations.
• Transaction Processing & Reconciliation: Conduct reporting, withholding tax calculations, reconciliation, and tax filings, seeking automation opportunities.
• Structured Product Deal Management:
  • Manage deal validation for Equity Structured Products in Murex.
  • Perform pre-settlement confirmations and execute fixing procedures.
  • Monitor valuations, expirations, barrier knocks, and reconcile accounts and trade positions.
  • Configure instruments and create structured product calculators as controls.

Requirements:

• Degree in Banking, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in banking, accounting, or tax, specifically in equity derivatives operations.
• Knowledge of cash equities, options, and share lending/borrowing in global markets.
• Experience with back-office functions like processing, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Understanding of transaction management in structured products.
• Knowledge of Funding and SWIFT messages (MT540, MT541, MT542, MT543, MT202).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, macros, Access, or VBA.
• Ability to handle large datasets.
• Familiarity with IRC Section 871(m) regulations is a plus.
• Team player capable of working independently, under pressure, and across teams.
• Willingness to work across different operational locations.
