Position Overview:

Associate, Southeast Asia (Indonesia Focus)

We are seeking an experienced Associate or Analyst specializing in Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on Indonesian political and economic affairs. The successful candidate will monitor, analyze, and report on key political developments in Indonesia, assessing their impact on the business and investment climate. This role requires excellent communication skills and a robust network within Indonesia's government, think tanks, academia, and private sectors. The position is remote, based in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze Indonesian political dynamics and produce clear, insightful reports.
  • Communicate complex developments effectively to clients through written reports and briefings.
  • Offer strategic advice on regional events' implications for clients’ investments and operations.
  • Develop and manage bespoke projects tailored to client intelligence needs.
  • Build and maintain contacts within Indonesian institutions and the private sector.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Indonesian government, think tanks, academia, or private sector.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality, succinct reports in English.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Indonesia’s political environment; experience in key sectors is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Effective engagement with diverse stakeholders.

This is a remote position in Indonesia. Applicants must be authorized to work in Indonesia.
