Job summary

Government Technology Agency (GovTech) in Singapore seeks a dynamic professional to join the Energy Connections Office (ECO). You will work within the Projects & Partnerships branch to negotiate proposals, assess them for energy security and sustainability, and help deliver import projects that strengthen Singapore’s energy resilience.

You will engage with overseas government bodies to secure G2G support and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Job description

What the role is

The Energy Connections Office (ECO) is tasked to facilitate around 6GW of low-carbon electricity imports into Singapore by 2035, or about one-third of our energy demand then. You will join a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team tasked to facilitate imports into Singapore and regional grid interconnections. Specifically, you will join the Projects & Partnerships (PP) branch in ECO.

What you will be working on

• Negotiating with interested companies on their proposals, and evaluating such proposals to meet our requirements for energy security, competitiveness and sustainability.
• Facilitating the development and ensuring the timely delivery of promising electricity imports projects.
• Engaging overseas government bodies to secure G2G support for cross-border electricity trading.
