Job summary

Garena within Sea's HQ Finance is seeking a finance professional to support country finance teams on month-end close, data accuracy, and accounting matters. You will analyze Garena's regional performance, identify trends, and participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles with stakeholders across functions.

You will contribute to FP&A objectives, resolve issues with business teams and external partners, and drive process improvements for reporting efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting or related professional qualification (CA/ACCA).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time experience in Finance roles.
• Big 4 experience would be a plus.
• Strong team player with keen willingness to learn and develop.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills across functions and levels.
• Passionate about finance and challenging the status quo.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment while delivering results.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and accuracy.

You will be part of Sea's HQ Finance department, which plays an integral role in supporting the accounting and finance needs of our three core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee) and across our diverse regional market presence. Within the department, the Regional Business Finance function is responsible for managing business-level financials), including reporting, analysis, budgeting, and business partnering. You will collaborate closely with local and regional stakeholders to conduct various financial analyses while ensuring compliance and enabling strategic decision-making.

• Support country finance teams on month-end closing, accuracy of system data and any accounting - related matters
• Analyze Garena's regional financial performance and operational metrics to identify key trends and cost drivers
• Involved in FP&A objectives in the management reporting process and budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Identify and address financial and operational issues by engaging with local and regional stakeholders
• Work closely with business teams and external partners to resolve financial matters
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing BAU processes and reporting efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting/ related discipline or other related professional qualification in accounting, such as Chartered Accountant and ACCA
• Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time working experience in Finance related roles
• Big 4 accounting firm experience would be a plus
• Strong team player with keen interest to learn and develop themselves
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine interest in collaborating with people across different functions and levels of the organization
• Passionate in the finance space and loves to challenge the status quo
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced and demanding environment while delivering desired results
