Position Overview

We are seeking an Associate to join a fast-paced environment as part of Apollo’s Global Wealth Management APAC team in our Singapore office. This newly created role will ideally suit a high performing sales Analyst/Associate looking to support our global wealth management marketing and sales efforts across Singapore, Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia etc.), and Australia and contribute to strategic business priorities.

The role will represent GWM across Apollo’s investment platform including our private funds (close and open ended), and semi-liquid vehicles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide timely support to distributors for Apollo products, delivering excellence in client service
  • Support the Asia GWM team in planning and organizing various investor marketing outreach activities including roadshows, due diligence sessions, and other events, in close coordination with the global Events & Brand Marketing team
  • Manage firm data requests, maintain investor sales pipeline, and own Salesforce activity for the GWM team
  • Assist team leadership with presentation materials, memos, and internal reporting request
  • The candidate will be a sales support who has the potential and interest to grow into a salesperson
Industry Network:
  • Key contacts the individual will have on an ongoing basis:
  • Internal – Apollo Employees, Global Wealth Management team, Investor Relations, COO team, Marketing teams, Legal and Compliance
  • External – Clients, (Banks, Independent Wealth Managers, Securities Firms, Asset Managers, Family Offices)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Appropriate degree in business/accounting/ finance
  • 1-5 years' experience in sales, client servicing, and/or investment advisory roles for private wealth/intermediary sales channel in Singapore
  • Client facing experience with wealth management channels in a fast-working environment
  • Solid financial product knowledge, experience in alternatives is a plus
  • Great attention to details, responsible person with strong work ethic
  • Be able to stretch into any area and take ownership of delegated tasks to support team’s goals
  • Interest in client facing role with potential to become sales, understand how to collaborate in a global firm
  • A multi-tasker that is able to prioritize and manage their time effectively
  • Team player, culture fit for Apollo; Maintain high level of professionalism and integrity
Key Competencies and Behaviours:
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Able to adapt to fast changing environment, organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealings with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Outstanding relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including preparation and delivery of presentations.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with respect to managing workload and new business origination
  • Experienced working in an international organisation and willingness to be flexible with hours as part of a global organisation
