A leading financial services company in Singapore is seeking a professional to oversee insurance claims management and Third Party Administrators. The ideal candidate will conduct assessments, ensure compliance with service level agreements, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery. The merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was announced in September 2020 and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in Singapore in a deal valued at S$3.2 billion. It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.
Responsibilities:
Conduct annual due diligence assessments on appointed Third Party Administrators according to local regulatory and company guidelines and requirements.
Monitor and ensure business efficiency and appointed Third Party Administrators' Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
Management of panel providers and its interventions or enhancements
Provide complaints resolution in relation to service delivery failure, claims, payment matters with Medical Providers, Third Party Administrators etc.
Designing and testing solutions relating to both inpatient and outpatient claims.
Manage claims audit and claims upload process
Identify issues arising from controls weaknesses (Inadequate/ Ineffective controls) notes from control assessments, risk events/incidents happened.
Perform any other duties or projects assigned.
Requirements
Familiar with group insurance, panel claims arrangement, Third Party Administrators' SLA and outsourcing due diligence monitoring.
Understand group insurance and provider network operations.
Able to conduct system and process review, and UATs.
Be able to deal with unstructured situations and provide solutions to position Singlife as the preferred EB insurer.
Be able to make recommendations on panel management arrangements, processes and systems in a team setting. The aim is to provide a constant stream of new services to improve productivity and deliver good customer service.
He/she is required to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, like Third Party Administrators and Medical Providers, to ensure smooth operations and panel service delivery to Singlife EB customer.
