Analyst / Economist

We have the following position for a highly motivated and committed individual to join our Firm:

Job Duties:

Support the Competition & Foreign Investment Review practice in the following areas:

• Performing qualitative and quantitative economic analysis to address real world issues
• Applying strategic thinking on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, business structuring, antitrust investigations, market studies, competition legislation and regulatory advocacy, general competition economics and policy advisory work
• Building and managing client relationships
• Writing reports and analysis papers on business strategies, competitive dynamics, economic trends, public policy issues, and market intelligence
• Collating data and researching cases
• Managing submissions to regulatory or competition agencies, and assisting on compliance matters

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Economics
• Relevant experience in business or economics analytics/consulting (1 to 3 years for the analyst position, and minimally 4 years for the economist position)
• Good knowledge of microeconomics and/or industrial organisation economics, and quantitative skills
• Essential attributes include strong analytical, communication and writing skills, good working attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
