Job summary

Lonza Singapore is seeking an Analyst for Development Services – Analytical Development to support analytical testing and method development on antibodies and recombinant proteins. The role emphasizes close teamwork in a fully site-based environment to ensure GMP-compliant data and timely project delivery.

We welcome graduates or professionals with 1–2 years of experience, with training provided in the specific assay platforms and protein analyses used at Lonza.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant Science field or equivalent.
• Position open to recent graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in analytical testing.
• Practical laboratory experience in analytical testing for antibodies or recombinant proteins is advantageous; training will be provided.
• Understanding of recombinant protein production, purification and analysis.
• Good understanding of cGMP concepts is an added advantage.
• Experience in automation of laboratory systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory work supporting analytical testing on antibodies and other recombinant proteins.
• Under supervision, author method development/validation study protocols and reports ensuring high quality, GMP-compliant data.
• Collaborate within analytical teams and support characterization and process analytics as needed.
• Contribute to customer projects by generating scientific data from experimental work.
• Work as part of a site and global project team to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Facilitate communication between departments in Singapore (QC/QA/SCM/EHS).

Analyst, Development Services - Analytical Development

The successful applicant for this position will be joining the Development Services Team in Lonza Singapore. The team is responsible for the development and characterization of manufacturing processes used for the production of novel therapeutic recombinant proteins for Lonza’s global client base.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

• Test methods employed include, but are not limited to, techniques using capillary electrophoresis, HPLC/UPLC, spectrophotometry, ELISAs, and qPCR.
• Collaborate within the different functional analytical teams by supporting analytical work for Characterization and Process Analytics, where required.
• Contribute to customer projects by generating scientific data from experimental work.
• Working as part of a site and global project team to ensure timely delivery of project work stages.
• Facilitate communication between other departments in Singapore (e.g. QC/QA/SCM/EHS).

What we are looking for:

• Degree in a relevant Science field or Equivalent.
• Position available would be relevant for recent graduates and candidates with 1-2 years of experience in relevant process development analytical testing.
• Practical laboratory experience in analytical testing for antibodies or other recombinant proteins would be advantageous although training will be provided.
• The role offered will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
• Understanding of theory and application of recombinant protein production, purification and analysis.
• Good understanding and application of cGMP concepts is an added advantage.
• Experience in automation of laboratory systems would be beneficial.
