Olympus Capital is a leading middle market private equity firm that focuses on direct investments in companies that operate in Asia Pacific or have a significant operation in the Asia Pacific region, with particular focus on markets in Japan, Greater China, India and Korea.

The firm’s strategy is to work closely with Asian shareholders and management teams to drive performance based on best-practice management expertise (including, as appropriate, recruiting additional executives with experience/proven track record to supplement the existing management team) and expand their businesses either domestically or regionally/globally. Since its establishment in 1997, Olympus Capital has invested over $2.5 billion on behalf of its investors in over 60 portfolio companies throughout Asia, including China, India, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION WILL INCLUDE:

1. Part of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) team, providing research and analysis to support Investment teams

• Support the global research initiatives of the Olympus investment teams in China, HK and India. This includes but is not restricted to – Comparable company analysis, Industry Research, Competitor search, financial statement analysis, Financial Modelling, Web Research, News Runs, etc.
• Market data research including competitive analysis, PE/ fund raising landscape
• Regular usage of financial and research databases like Bloomberg, Pitchbook, Factiva, etc. and ensuring accurate and analytical deliverables

2. Portfolio Valuations

• Proposing and updating valuation of portfolio companies on a quarterly basis, supporting audit and preparation of valuation write ups.
• Maintaining deal financials, and analyzing impact of deal developments on valuations

3. Fund Analytics and Investor Relations

• Support in preparation of quarterly fund reporting packages and overall fund analytics
• Working on regular and ad-hoc investor requests, supporting investor relations function, as needed.

4. Support deal team in portfolio analytics including – Market comparable, benchmarking, industry scans, quarterly portfolio review & risk management

5. Maintaining and updating relevant company databases on a regular basis

CANDIDATE PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Key attributes of the successful candidates would be:

• Postgraduate in finance / CFA / accounting with excellent academic record
• 1-3 years’ experience in Equity / Financial research with understanding of financial statements, financial modelling, equity markets, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, good knowledge of finance and accounting is required.
• A relationship builder and an effective teammate with strong interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and possess unquestioned personal and professional integrity
• Ability to meet timelines and operate in a highly driven and demanding work environment
