Job description

We are an independent, partner-owned investment management group with a proven track record as an active investor in both multi-asset class as well as exclusively sourced direct investments.
In order to support our rapidly growing multi-family office business, we are seeking a self-driven, highly motivated candidate to work directly within our global team.
Objectives: To provide a professional, effective and quality oriented service to the management and clients of the group with a high level of confidentiality, objectivity and integrity.

Tasks

Portfolio Management

  • Work closely with the Portfolio Managers to help manage the family office liquid investment strategies: balanced and growth portfolios, fixed income portfolios and special mandates.
  • Monitor exposures and assist the investment team to ensure all portfolios are aligned with and accurately reflect the respective model strategies
  • Assist the investment team with idea generation, macro research, bottom-up fundamental analysis, and quantitative screening.
  • Track portfolio holdings and provide timely updates following earnings releases and significant market movements.
  • Help take notes during investment meetings

Research

  • Provide support to portfolio managers and team in all aspects of their work.
  • Developing systematic/quantitative research tool to complement trading decisions of investment team (researching trading ideas, implementing models and lastly back testing…)
  • Write investment cases on companies as assigned, ensuring clarity and rationale, and publish them in OneNote for team access and collaboration
  • Build investment dashboards and summaries on Python (or programing languages), using data extracted from Portfolio Management System (PMS).
  • Support team with spreadsheet modelling, performance contribution analysis, reporting, presentations, preparing pitch decks and automating portfolio monitoring tools.

Operations and reporting

  • Be an advocate and driver for technological advances in the investment management space (Portfolio Management System, Order Management System…)
  • Assist the team with platforms, spreadsheets, factsheets, reporting and automating operations.
  • Project work as assigned in the areas of Platform enhancement and data.
  • Maintain data quality and setting up new bank interfaces within the PMS (API connections, Data files via SFTP)
  • Support with data required for MAS surveys
  • Analyze and implement reporting requests and needs.Regulatory
  • Follow the internal policies and procedures and ensure timely providing and completion of regulatory requirements.Support
  • Collaborate with internal teams in Singapore and Zurich to determine functional and technical application/project requirements.
  • Support and mentor interns.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in technical subjects - Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Engineering, or any other concentration relevant to the Sector/Sub-Sectors under Industrials.
  • Min 2 years’ experience in portfolio management with track record, CFA is an advantage
  • Disciplined risk taker with good risk management track record, ability to generate good risk-adjusted returns
  • Self-driven, ambitious, willing to learn and grow with the team
  • High degree of independent problem solving
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Mental discipline to solve complex problems and communicate effectively under pressure
  • Practical knowledge of Bloomberg and its relevant features
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills (e.g. presentation, initiative, discretion, confidence and good customer service techniques).
  • Strong technical ability and proficiency in one programming language (Phython) would be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel including VBA
  • Strong English communication skills - both verbal and written
