Join to apply for the AM/M, Strategic Digital Projects role at IMDA.

The Digital Transformation Cluster (DTC) is responsible for driving digital transformation projects across major economic sectors and ecosystems. The team works closely with public and private sectors to implement impactful digitalization initiatives, solving complex business-technology challenges, and involving business model transformation, innovative technology applications, and regulatory considerations.

We focus on project seeding and scoping, execution, and implementation to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and achievement of objectives, including targeted and widespread adoption. Current focus areas for DTC include Extended Reality (XR), Digital Twin (DT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), and Digital Sustainability.

As part of the Strategic Digital Projects (SDP) team focusing on XR, DT, and AI, you will:

• Support IMDA’s vision of promoting and driving early adoption of emerging technologies by enterprises and industries, prioritizing value-driven innovative projects, and fostering future innovation efforts in collaboration with public and private sector partners.
• Identify ecosystem and industry gaps among users and technology providers; develop and implement initiatives to bridge these gaps, enabling technology deployment and adoption at scale across various industries.
• Assess new technologies, build collaborative networks with technology providers, system integrators, and research institutes to develop solutions that meet industry needs.
• Scope, manage, and deploy use-cases, strategize for commercialization and scale-up, and monitor project outcomes, recommending enhancements as necessary.
• Plan and support communication and marketing efforts to raise awareness and encourage adoption.

You would need to have:

• Suitable educational qualifications in a related field, with an understanding of the landscape and challenges faced by solution providers and adopters of emerging technologies such as XR, DT, and AI.
• Strong project management skills and experience in project execution.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment, visualize outcomes, and provide clarity to stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders.
