Your Role

Are you an experienced business development professional with a passion for alternative investments? Do you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you can build new businesses and negotiate strategic partnerships? Are you skilled in managing complex sales processes and engaging sophisticated, institutional investors?

We are seeking an Alternatives Investment Specialist to drive the growth of our global (ex US) wholesale business for Unified Global Alternatives (UGA). This role involves building strategic partnerships with distribution partners and wholesale clients to expand our footprint in this client segment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales, developing new relationships, and deepening existing ones to drive growth. This highly collaborative role requires a strong team player with a deep understanding of alternative investments including private markets, real assets, and hedge funds, and the ability to engage with sophisticated investors. Responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying main distribution partners across wealth managers, private banks, family offices, and institutional clients in each market.
  2. Developing and executing strategic distribution plans in collaboration with local teams.
  3. Establishing strategic partnerships with UGA’s target clients in close collaboration with local generalist client coverage teams.
  4. Providing tailored investment solutions by working with investment teams to align offerings with client needs.
  5. Leading new product initiatives and providing market feedback for product development.
  6. Acting as a thought leader, offering insights and market intelligence to partners and clients.
  7. Delivering presentations and investment insights to stakeholders.
  8. Covering private clients alongside wholesale distributors in select markets to showcase UGA’s offerings.

Your Team

You will be part of UGA’s Wholesale & Partnerships team, reporting to the Global (ex US) Head of Wholesale & Partnerships for UGA.

Your Expertise
  • Ideally 10+ years of experience in alternatives distribution, investment sales, investment banking, or private markets with a strong record in strategic partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of alternative asset classes, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets.
  • Strong ability to manage long sales cycles and build relationships with wholesale and institutional investors.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, thriving in a high-growth environment.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent English required, additional languages are a plus.
