Job description

Job Summary:

The Alliance Manager will be responsible for managing strategic partnerships and alliances across the pharmaceutical value chain, including licensing agreements & commercialization collaboration. This role ensures the effective execution, governance, and optimization of alliances to deliver maximum value to both partners and the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alliance Governance & Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned alliance partners.
    • Facilitate joint governance meetings, including preparation of agendas, documentation, and follow-ups.
    • Proactively monitor alliance performance and ensure both parties are meeting obligations and milestones.
  • Operational Coordination
    • Align internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, QA, Regulatory, Legal, BD, Finance) to support alliance objectives.
    • Track progress on key deliverables and resolve operational issues through effective coordination.
  • Strategic Oversight
    • Identify opportunities to enhance the strategic value of alliances.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on partner performance and risks.
  • Contract Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to contract terms, including financial obligations, reporting requirements, and intellectual property rights.
    • Coordinate with Legal and Finance to manage amendments, renewals, or dispute resolutions.
  • Communication & Reporting
    • Maintain transparent, proactive communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Prepare and deliver alliance performance reports and updates to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in alliance management, business development, or project management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (B2B is a plus but not mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of drug development and commercialization processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex partnerships and influence cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing alliances or licensing in/out.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical is needed, Biosimilar and B2B is a plus
