A leading logistics company in Singapore seeks an experienced Airfreight Wholesale Sales Manager to lead the expansion of their airfreight business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing partnerships with freight forwarders and maximizing space with airlines while ensuring a deep understanding of the market and maintaining competitive rates.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Airfreight Wholesale Sales Manager to lead the development and expansion of our wholesale airfreight business. This role is responsible for identifying and developing partnerships with freight forwarders, consolidators, and agents, while maximizing space utilization with airlines and maintaining competitive rates. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the air cargo market, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive sales mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
Identify and target wholesale airfreight clients (freight forwarders, co-loaders, etc.)
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and airline partners
Expand customer base through strategic outreach and relationship building
Sales Management:
Prepare and execute strategic sales plans and growth targets
Generate and follow up on quotations, tenders, and contract negotiations
Monitor performance against sales targets and KPIs
Carrier Management:
Liaise with airlines to secure competitive rates and space allocations
Maintain and update airfreight rate database and flight schedules
Coordinate block space agreements (BSAs) and space utilization
Market Intelligence & Pricing:
Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitive positioning
Recommend and implement pricing strategies to maximize margin and volume
Track industry trends, customer demand, and competitor offerings
Operational Coordination:
Work closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure service excellence
Ensure seamless end-to-end support for bookings, documentation, and billing
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in airfreight wholesale or freight forwarding sales
Solid understanding of air cargo operations, rate structures, and industry regulations
Strong network with airlines and freight forwarding agents preferred
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and airfreight platforms
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure
Bilingual in English and Mandarin
