Job description

The Challenges

  1. Lead a team of Air Export Ops (Local SIN team + Offshore BPO team in MNL) who execute and handle full set of export airfreight documentation including HAWB (House Air Waybill), MAWB (Master Air Waybill), invoices, packing lists, permits and pre-alerts to destination office / origin shipper.
  2. Monitor flight schedules, cargo readiness, and ensure all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
  3. Lead a team of hybrid Export Ops + Customer Service for out of office hour and weekend activities (Critical Response Team CRT).
  4. Manage resources and manpower deployment especially during weekend and PH.
  5. Prepare and verify export billing, ensure costing is accurately reflected, and handle supplier / network invoices & disputes.
  6. Build and maintain good working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  7. Support the Senior Ops Manager for process re-engineering improvements and ad hoc operational tasks.
  8. Documenting and maintaining records of all export transactions and ensure accuracy in all company databases and freight management system.
  9. Assist the Senior Ops Manager to handle and manage Air Freight Terminal matters and escalations.
  10. Involved in new customer or process implementation and SOP maintenance.
  11. Ensure proper customs clearance procedures and compliance with relevant export regulations.
  12. Track and trace export shipments, proactively provide updates to internal customers, and resolve delays or discrepancies.

What It Takes

  1. Strong knowledge of airfreight documentation, airline booking procedures, and customs/export regulations.
  2. Familiar with Singapore customs procedures and systems (e.g., Tradenet, Cargo Community Network).
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with freight forwarding software (Cargowise One or equivalent).
  4. Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in airfreight operations.
