Job Info:
- Salary: Basic up to $4400 + AWS + VB
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Office Hour); Saturday (Half day)
- Location: Changi
Job Scope:
- Possess solid knowledge of cargo commodities in compliance with IATA regulations
- Promptly address customer enquiries and complaints, providing solutions or initiating recovery actions where possible
- Ensure strict adherence to customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions
- Coordinate with overseas agents regarding shipment requirements and rate negotiations
- Review AWB/HAWB and other shipping documents; communicate any discrepancies or non-compliance to customers and overseas agents
- Collaborate with the export operations team to ensure documentation and invoicing accuracy
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high customer satisfaction, productivity, and operational efficiency
- Act as the primary coordinator for shipments involving oversized, sensitive, high-value cargo, and ad-hoc projects
- Provide backup support and assist with shipment execution when team resources are limited
- Maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partners
- Lead, guide, and train the team; serve as the first point of escalation for operational issues
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies effectively
- Monitor and work closely with the team to achieve monthly Gross Margin (GM) targets, DQE KPIs, and avoid AED failures
- Generate weekly job file reports to ensure timely billing in line with KPIs
- Propose operational improvements after team discussions and prior approval from the reporting manager
- Conduct monthly compliance audits on randomly selected shipments
- Handle claim queries, follow up with stakeholders and vendors, and keep customers informed
- Investigate root causes of incidents or service failures and issue Corrective and Preventive Action Reports (CAPARs)
- Respond to queries from both internal and external auditors
- Organize and lead department meetings
- Escalate any issues requiring broader resolution in a timely manner
- Manage supplier invoice disputes
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Manager
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree preferred
- Preferably with minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding
- Proficient in MS Office & ability to work independently
- Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) trained will be an advantage
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
- Pleasant personality and a good team player
