A leading aerospace firm is seeking an Aircraft Painter to maintain its high standards in aircraft finish. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of paint types. In your role, you will:
Prepare paint, prepare a surface and apply paint
Apply paint in accordance with work instructions
Prepare surfaces for overlap between painted areas
Prepare for paint touch-ups or small areas (1 liter maximum)
Knowledge of paint tools and their correct use
Knowledge of the different types of paints and how to apply them
Perform all work according to Bombardier standards, including quality and safety policies
Able to carry out visual checks in accordance with project requirements to identity reasons for both non-conformities and successful outcomes
Complete timecards daily and ensure that the snag/task card information is correct
Punctual, meticulous, and good time management
Adhere to our company General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hanger positions)
Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
Install sealant and erosion tape
Perform other duties as assigned
As our ideal candidate,
You must have 2+ years of aircraft paint experience on business aircraft or similar
You must be able to work from documentation such as company procedures, preparation packages
You must be able to work in a confined space
You must be able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation as part of daily duties.
You must have a diploma or relevant trade certificates or equivalent
You must have basic knowledge pulling maintenance manuals / IPCs from computer
You must have basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials
You must have demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status
