The VIE Consultant for Airbus APAC reports functionally to the Head of Airbus Consulting, located in Toulouse, France, and operationally to the Head of Customer Support.
The Airbus Consulting team provides a large scope of advice on business, finance, strategy, sustainability, Air Traffic Management (ATM) consulting, cybersecurity, and services to optimize airlines' flight operations and increase airspace or airport capacity.
Accountabilities:
VIE Consultant for Airbus Consulting:
- Ensure coordination of any consulting activity in the region.
- Coordinate with Service & Commercial representatives in the regions in close coordination with the Head of Consulting in Toulouse.
- Be the prime focal point for any opportunities in the region.
- Stakeholders management.
- Right First Time for all deliverables.
- Identify value creation opportunities in each project situation.
- Perform consulting missions in coordination with the team in Toulouse.
Business Development Support:
- Further develop all consulting activities in the region.
- Support the market development of Airbus Consulting.
- Collaborate across internal organizations to actively create customer strategies, identify opportunities, and capture customer needs.
- Ensure proper involvement and setup decision dossiers for Airbus Management when their contribution is necessary.
Major Responsibilities:
The VIE Consultant is responsible for coordinating with the team in the region (S & C), ensuring the internal promotion of Airbus Consulting activities, reporting leads to the Airbus team in Toulouse, and supporting the definition of potential missions to customers.
Manage execution of a set of projects after hand-over from sales, ensuring commitments are met in terms of timing, quality, and budget.
Main Activities:
- Engage in all aspects of client engagement, from identifying a need to building a convincing offer for a consulting mission.
- Remain an active participant in consulting missions.
- Be responsive to any customer requests or team demands and propose solutions quickly.
- Work closely with the consulting team in Toulouse and involve Heads of Consulting for proper escalation of any issues.
- Your roles can be:
- Participate as an analyst with a specific problem to analyze.
- Act as a domain specialist if your expertise is required by the mission.
- Present results to customer management with the support of Airbus consultants and implement recommendations with customer teams.
- Work with domain specialists to grow knowledge in areas like supply chain, maintenance organization, finance, and flight operations.
- Ensure compliance with ethics and finance objectives in the regions worked.
Qualifications & Ability:
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Aviation, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
Experience:
- Aeronautical background and experience in commercial aviation and/or Air Traffic Management and/or flight operations.
- Technical background in aircraft operations with a business management mindset.
- Experience in project management (stakeholders, suppliers management, risk, and cost management).
Ability:
- International network and understanding of Airlines operation domain.
- Advanced communication skills in English (French a plus); customer service oriented.
- Entrepreneurial & business-minded; ability to work in a small, reactive team.
- Willingness to travel and flexibility in schedule.
- Self-motivated to understand technical subjects.
- Team spirit and excellent organizational skills.
Travel Required:
- International travel from time to time.
- Domestic travel regularly.
